Rare Metals
CNMC Ningxia Orient Group Co., Ltd. (CNMNC), a CNMC-invested enterprise, specializes in the research, development, and production of high-tech products made from rare metals such as tantalum, niobium, beryllium, and titanium. It is among the world's top three tantalum processing companies, serves as an executive member of the Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center (TIC), and has long maintained a leading position globally in tantalum wire production capacity and market share.
Copper and Copper Alloys...
CNMC focuses on the development and manufacturing of high-performance copper rods, wires, strips, and foils. It has an annual capacity of 300,000 tonnes for copper rods (including 120,000 tonnes of rods of A-grade and above), 40,000 tonnes for copper wires, and 60,000 tonnes for copper strips. CNMC is the largest producer of beryllium copper alloys and rolled copper foil base materials in China. The Group's high-beryllium beryllium-copper strips, oxygen-rich copper foil base materials, target backplates for integrated circuits, and tab materials for new energy batteries lead the domestic market in terms of technical and economic performance. CNMC offers a full range of rolled copper foil products, with an annual production capacity of 5,000 tonnes and internationally advanced technologies. By virtue of their outstanding performance, CNMC's products have been integrated into the supply chains of renowned companies including Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei) and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL).
New Energy Materials...
Leveraging its overseas nickel and cobalt resources, CNMC has promoted research, development, and production centered on lithium battery cathode materials, establishing production lines with an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes for cobalt tetroxide and ternary precursor products, and building a production base for high-end green energy materials. The Group has also dedicated significant efforts to the research, development, and production of lithium battery anode materials and all-solid-state battery anode materials, developing silicon-carbon composite anode materials with capacities of 450 mAh/g, 800 mAh/g, and 1400 mAh/g, as well as nano-silicon. CNMC has also established a demonstration production line with an annual capacity of 110 tonnes for silicon-carbon anode materials. Furthermore, it runs China's only pilot-scale demonstration production line for stable, large-scale nano-silicon manufacturing using radio frequency induction plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition.
